What is Fringe? 

Adelaide Fringe is the biggest arts festival in the Southern Hemisphere and the second in the world, completely transforming Adelaide and greater South Australia for 31 magical days and nights each year! Adelaide Fringe is a great framework to produce within, find an audience for your voice and discover a hidden gem.

Why do artists participate?



Is the Fringe right for me? 

YES! Fringe is open to eveyone (as long as it abides by the Terms and Conditions, and the law). If you're looking to develop work to tour in the future, Fringe is a chance to explore new work that you're making and share with a new audience and get feedback to help you develop it.


If you are a brand new practitioner and want to feel out the industry, Fringe gives you opportunities to mingle with seasoned Fringe participants, and delegates from all over the industry, and essentially learn from the best of the best.

What does registration include? 

  • Event listing in the printed Adelaide Fringe Guide
  • Event listed on adelaidefringe.com.au (2.9 million visitors in 2022)
  • The FringeTIX team to assist in the sales of your tickets 
  • Support from our Marketing team to guide and train you in maximising your sound
  • Access to leverage our programs that help sell tickets an increase your database
  • The opportunity to put your work in the front of buyers and extend the life of your work through Honey Pot
  • Participate in events and programs to promote your work 
  • Ongoing support, guidance and advice every step of the way
How do I register? 

Finding a venue and your audience is up to you!  This means we do not book events or program venues, but rather provide a festival framework for arts practitioners and independent artists to present their work. Head to our custom registration platform AVR to set up an account.

  • AVR Resources:
    Our library of resources, how tos, templates, advice and information especially made for Adelaide Fringe Partcipants. 
  • Honey Pot :
    Adelaide Fringe's International Marketplace. Connecting passionate industry leaders and motivated artists who are looking to take their events to the next level.
  • Schools Program:
    If your event is appropriate for young people between 2-18 years then the Schools Program is for you! 
  • Awards:
    Adelaide Fringe loves celebrating outstanding talent. To participate in the Awards Program, events need to opt-in through AVR during registration. More infor during registration. 
  • Artist Fund:
    Adelaide Fringe raises funds to support artists and venues. We encourage bold ideas to take shape and support all forms of expression.
