The 'Adelaide Comedy Gala' has graced the Adelaide Fringe for the past 12 years and is returning to Adelaide's favourite comedy venue in 2021 - The Arkaba Hotel! Hosting a multitude of amazingly hilarious and selfless comedians who donate their time and talents to raise funds and awareness for the Sammy D Foundation, previous lines ups have included: Fiona O'Loughlin, Peter Helliar, Ivan Aristeguieta, Thomas Green, Tom Gleeson, Hans, Dilruk and Arj Barker! On Sunday 4 May 2008, the life of 17 year old Sam Davis was tragically cut short. Sam fell victim to a one punch
attack. Following their devastating loss, Sam's parents founded the Sammy D Foundation, with the ultimate aim of providing
skills to young people to prevent such a tragedy from happening again.

Twelve years on, the Sammy D Foundation has spread Sam's message across hundreds of schools, community groups, and sporting clubs, raising awareness and educating over 140,000 young people.

The Sammy D Foundation educates over 20,000 young people yearly on the impacts of violence, bullying, and alcohol and other drug misuse whilst also providing positive role modelling and mentoring support to 40 at-risk young people each year.
