The Black Cat was written in 1843 by American author and poet, Edgar Allan Poe. He was a complex, troubled man and an alcoholic - a fact which perhaps accounts for the underlying realism, despite its fantastic nature, of The Black Cat. Mark Penzak and Glendon Blazely have been performing for over 30 years. Mark is a performer, writer and director whose work includes drama, musicals and comedy. His plays have toured Australia, Scotland, England and Ireland. He’s currently writing a book, Monsters in my Wardrobe. Glendon Blazely is a multi-instrumental singer-songwriter. He plays widely with other musicians and with his band Grumpy Neighbour. As DJ Wind-up he uses old gramophones to give funky life to 78rpm records.
